Using ZapSense is simple!
In just a few seconds, you’ll know if your fence is strong enough to work.
Step 1: Activate
Place your thumb on the marked circle and squeeze. ZapSense powers up instantly and is ready to test.
Step 2: Measure
Hold ZapSense about 2 cm from the wire.
It safely detects every pulse without direct contact – no risk of shock.
Step 3: Read the result
Each pulse makes the flash symbol blink green, and the LEDs show the strength of your fence.
Simple, visual, and instant.
Understanding the voltage levels
ZapSense shows the strength of your fence using 7 LEDs.
Here’s what each level means – and when you need to take action.
0 LEDs = below 500V (red)
Too weak – your fence is not working at all.
1 LED = 500–1000V (red)
Not enough to keep animals in or wild animals out.
2 LEDs = 1000–2000V (red)
Still too weak – risk of escapes or intrusions.
3 LEDs = 2000–4000V (green)
Minimum level for a functional fence.
4 LEDs = 4000–6000V (green)
Strong and reliable for most animals.
5 LEDs = 6000–8000V (green)
Very good strength, suitable for horses, cattle, sheep.
6 LEDs = 8000–10000V (green)
High protection, also effective against wild animals.
7 LEDs = above 10000V (green)
Maximum strength – excellent safety margin.
